Arriving along with the dusk

Your tiny prinks of light

Blink off and on

Giving the evening

A look of its own

Summer has arrived

Your little lights announce

With each blink

Children follow them

Holding them in their hands

The little lights glow brightly

Captured in jars to enjoy the miracle

Then released safely to fly away

To return again tomorrow night

Until summer ends
