It is no different than when I was a child.

But tonight I know, I cannot light the room with

Fear does not escape me. My eyes are open.

There is no boundary to darkness, Or imagination,

As I wait, As I wonder,

The lights have failed?

Should I --- Will I -- surrender to the darkness?

Then a sudden flicker,

Like life's quickening the lights return …
